2nd Annual Superhero Music Panel at Comic-Con

Six leading Hollywood composers, including Christophe Beck, will discuss the process of creating the musical voice behind the superhero, explain the challenges when bringing a comic book character or story to life and writing music to reflect the story line. The panelists will also show film clips of their work.  The event produced by Costa Communcations will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the Indigo Ballroom at the San Diego Convention Center.  Click here for more information.

On Wednesday, May 21, Christophe spent the afternoon with all 400 students at Providencia Elementary School in Burbank, California to share about his experience as a musician and film composer.  He spoke to the students about Frozen and played them some music from the film.  These dedicated students beat more than 10 other schools in a Facebook contest though Education Through Music Los Angeles, and couldn’t have been more excited about it! Click here to see more pictures from Christophe’s afternoon with these great kids.

It looks like it’s time to start getting excited about the new trailer for “Alexander and the The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” Starring Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Dylan Minnette, Kerris Dorsey, Ed Oxenbould, Megan Mullally, Jennifer Coolidge, and Bella Thorne.  This comedy, based on the childrens’ book of the same title, is full of mishaps and adventures sure to have you laughing and maybe cringing (but mostly laughing) the entire time.  Enjoy!

Music Unites the World Festival – Education Through Music Los Angeles

On Friday, April 11, 2014, 122 students from 11 schools got together to make music at the “4th Annual Music Unites the World Festival” hosted by Education Through Music Los Angeles. As part of this event, Christophe volunteered to coach and conduct these students in their performance of various songs including “Let It Go” (pictured below)!
