“Marc Pease Experience” in Limited Release

The Marc Pease Experience“, starring Ben Stiller, Jason Schwatzman and Anna Kendrick, was released today with limited release in the following cities: Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle, Miami, Denver, Tampa, Minneapolis and Cleveland.  The movie, directed by Todd Louiso, centers around a former high school musical star, Marc Pease [Jason Schwatzman], finding himself still living in the past, eight years after graduation.

Christophe Beck’s first solo album begins shipping today. “Rubber Bug” is described as “an organic combination of driving electronic beats and addictive melodies”.  The album will be available through www.CDbaby.com as well as by digital download through all major retailers within the next two months.  Stay tuned, as we will keep you posted as they become available.  Beck’s first two albums (under the name “Ape Quartet”) were co-written with long-time collaborator, friend, and suite-mate Mark Kilian.  “Sedatellite” is also available at www.CDbaby.com.

“Post Grad” Coming Soon

On August 21, “Post Grad“, starring Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) and Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), will be released nationwide.  Beck worked closely with director Vicky Jenson and veteran director/producer Ivan Reitman on this coming of age story.  The soundtrack, featuring three pieces by Beck, will be released by Abkco Records in mid-August.

Beck Signed to Score “Date Night”

Shawn Levy and Christophe Beck will be working together again on the upcoming comedy “Date Night”, their fifth collaboration.  The film has a star studded cast including Steve Carrell, Tina Fey, Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo and Ray Liotta. Entertainment Weekly asks, “Could the comedy’s cast get any better?!”  Levy and Beck’s past projects include “The Pink Panther”, “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “Just Married”.

Gonzales Sets World Record

Christophe’s brother, musician and producer Gonzales broke the world record for the longest-ever solo concert Monday, successfully playing piano for 27 hours, three minutes and 44 seconds.  The 37-yera-old Gonzales claimed the title from Guinness record-holder Prasanna Gudi of India, who had played raga for 26 hours and 12 minutes in December.
